A bit late on the subject, and I am surprised no one has already started a similar thread, but what the hell were the FA thinking when they announced the end of replays in the competition proper?
I appreciate the Premiere League, who don't even come into the picture until the 3rd round, are pulling their strings and that we would need to qualify for the competition proper for it to affect us (and let's not forget, I am reliably informed, that we haven't actually won an FA Cup replay since 2012).
It's a strange competition where different rules apply at different stages and then depending on where you play. Yes, it would be nice to play at a ground where VAR is in operation (Wembley, perhaps?).
I understand the club has other priorities at the moment but it would have been nice to have seen a short statement.
