Well, that was inevitable, wasn't it? I would suggest it's a mere formality given the pitch was unfit for Tuesday and it's hardly stopped raining since, there's no way it'll be played.
Given it's a 3 3/4 hour drive from Chorley (they probably need to allow an extra couple of hours to get into Stortford), and they need to be here an hour before kickoff, they'll have to leave about 8 am so the early inspection is understandable. I don't know if we have a duty to other clubs not to waste their time and money on needless travelling (and it might oops northern clubs off enough when they come down on a Tuesday night that they won't want us back in North again).
I can think of, probably, a dozen teams we could be playing where we could leave the inspection until midday on Saturday. Unfortunately they're all in National League South.
