They weren't shafted by the FA. The rules are clear. Even if they didn't know them (and if I do, they certainly should) they would have been advised when they talked to the FA/league about dropping out. They didn't make any real effort to keep going - Walden offered them a groundshare - they just chucked in the towel. If they really believe the pitch company screwed up, they could sue them for the additional costs & loss of income, so maybe it isn't as clear-cut. This is the second time they've done this (ignoring covid seasons), BSFC have twice helped them out in other years when their own mis-management has seen them in trouble. It can't always be someone else's fault. They never seemed concerned about the financial loss to other clubs in the two seasons they've pulled out. It won't really hurt them anyway, they'll just have another jolly up getting promoted next season.

The firm that messed up their pitch Dave went bust, so there was nothing left for them to sue. I don’t dispute that they have been mismanaged for years though.

Oh. I'm not going to smirk. Even though they'd be singing songs celebrating our demise if it happened.
The reality is, though, they should've have struggled through last season at borrowed grounds. They'd probably be challenging for the ESL title if they'd gone down
